Get prepared with Florida Tropical Training Week

Adyson Hammock  reporter3.riverbendnews@gmail.com  Saturday, June 1, marked the beginning of the Atlantic Hurricane Season, and the Florida National Weather Services (NWS) is providing free virtual tropical training from Monday, July 29, until Thursday, Aug 1. Each day, there will be a specific topic that helps residents prepare for tropical impacts and teach attendees about credible sources and forecast information. There will be four sessions daily, at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., and they will each last for an hour.  Day 1 – Monday, July 29: Prepare and Monitor  Day 2 – Tuesday, July 30: Gearing Up For Impacts  Day 3 – Wednesday, July 31: Sheltering/Hunkering Down
