The Greater Branford Community Association is proud to announce that they will be hosting this year's Christmas in Branford event, the Suwannee Avenue Street Market. The event will take place along Suwannee Avenue in Branford, Fla., from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12.
The community is invited to come down and support local artists, crafters and interdependent distributors in a festive holiday style street market. Who-hairdo's will be provided by Love-N-Care for any children who want to have their hair done up like the residents of Dr. Seuss's Christmas classic, The Grinch. During the event, Branford's local stores and restaurants will also be featuring great deals for shoppers to partake in for their holiday shopping lists.
Then, visitors are encouraged to stay and enjoy Branford's Christmas Parade, sponsored by the Branford Future Farmers of America chapters, which will begin marching down the avenue at 6 p.m. Following the parade, Santa Clause will be at the lighted corral next to town hall, ready to meet the good boys and girls of the surrounding area.
While attending, visitors are encouraged to keep an eye out for boxes the Branford Volunteer Fire Department will have placed around town for donations of new, unwrapped toys, for boys and girls of all ages.
