Accusations fly during public comment at Branford Town Council meeting

The Branford Town Council met on Tuesday, June 18, in a continuation of its regular meeting, which was postponed following the town elections on Tuesday, June 11.
Soon after the meeting opened, the council received an update on the Branford Volunteer Fire Department (BVFD) from Chief Robert Yates. He informed that the department had recently undergone a pyrotechnics class in order to put on the town's annual Fourth of July fireworks display, of which 23 volunteers successfully became certified.
