Live Oak resident publishes first children’s book

Elizabeth Carroll, a resident of Live Oak, has accomplished an impressive feat with the publication of her first children's book, "Oh, Henry!" Her journey from growing up in Russellville, Ky., to becoming a children's author is inspiring.
Carroll describes her path as "a bit backward," having graduated from eighth grade before being homeschooled for a year. Then, at the age of 16, she got married and had three children. Seven years later, life threw her a curveball when she divorced and needed to support her family. It was during this challenging period that she obtained her General Education Degree (GED) and pursued higher education. She
