Live Oak Fire Department receives grant from AAA Auto Club

These blankets are helpful because, in the event that an electric vehicle catches on fire, they are much more useful at snuffing out flames than water. Using the electric vehicle blankets allows firefighters to quickly and safely extinguish fires involving lithium batteries found in newer electric vehicles.
