Suwannee Commissioners announce parks and rec updates

Christian Peterson reporter.riverbendnews@gmail.com On Tuesday, May 7, the Suwannee County Board of County Commissioners met for its regularly scheduled meeting. The meeting quickly opened with public comment. The first comment was from Roberta Thomas, who took issue with the chicken houses possibly being erected near her home. She explained that, due to the fact the area was not zoned for this, she didn't feel it was appropriate that the item was simply dismissed at the last meeting. The board responded, clarifying that County Attorney Adam Morrison had some concerns about the legality of the chicken houses, which is why they were tabled. Then the board pointed to the agenda, which showe
