Local chef wins national recipe contest

Rebecca Thomas, a chef at Dixie Grill, achieved national recognition by winning first place in the General Mills Biskies recipe contest with her strawberry cream biscuit bites. The celebratory event allowed Thomas to finally accept her grand prize: a $20,000 check from General Mills.
