Residents urged to stay vigilant among string of vehicle burglaries

Over the past several days, the Suwannee County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) has responded to a series of vehicle burglaries in the McAlpin, Live Oak and Luraville areas. According to a recent Facebook post by the SCSO, the suspects appear to be targeting unlocked vehicles and checking door handles in neighborhoods for easy access.
The SCSO is urging residents to take preventive measures to safeguard their belongings. "Please make sure you lock up your vehicles, remove your personal items from plain sight in your vehicle, and when possible, implement outdoor lighting at night," the Facebook post states.
