O’Brien teen injured in tractor tire explosion

Danny Federico reporter3.riverbendnews@gmail.com In the early hours of Friday, June 14, 17-year-old Janna Roberts, an O'Brien resident, suffered severe injuries following the explosion of a tractor tire she was inflating. Janna, the daughter of Lisa and Ethan Roberts and the Chaplain for the Branford High School (BHS) Senior FFA Chapter, was immediately airlifted to Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Fla., for emergency medical treatment. Upon arrival at the hospital, Janna underwent critical surgery to remove crushed bone fragments from her skull.
