Branford man calls cops on himself

Christian Peterson reporter.riverbendnews@gmail.com On Friday, May 17, the Suwannee County Sheriff's Office received a call from 43-year-old Branford resident James Robert Lombardi. According to the report, he explained to the Communications Center that he was lost in the woods between the Branford Greenway Trail and the Suwannee River. Deputy Cleve Willis quickly responded to the call, getting assistance from the Lafayette County Sheriff's Office and the Florida Fish Wildlife Conservation Commission. The trio of entities began the search for Lombardi and within an hour had located him and brought him to the Ivey Park Boat Ramp. Of course Lombardi was happy to be found and safe, however,
