Dear Editor,
It saddens me once again that a citizen has been killed in an auto accident caused by police in pursuit of a fleeing driver. First, let me say that I fully support our police. They have a difficult and demanding job. I understand that at times, in order to save lives, or prevent further injury; police must pursue fleeing individuals at high speed. However, I believe it is not in the publics best interest to pursue, at very high speeds, someone who may or may not have committed serious crimes. Is it really important to pursue at very high speeds, endangering others on the hiway, just to catch a speeder? Or someone who may be intoxicated? Just last week an 11-year-old was killed
