A fundraiser raffle is currently being held for Tyler Ogburn, a young father from White Springs, who was in an automobile accident on Friday, Oct. 23. He was air lifted to Shands UF Trauma Center in Gainesville, where he fought for his life. Ogburn sustained several broken ribs, liver lacerations, a neck fracture, a collapsed lung and a burst fracture in his back that resulted in major injuries to his spinal cord. He has lost motor function of his legs and is going through extensive rehab.
The raffle, which offers the chance of winning one of six prizes, will be raising money to help with Ogburn's medical, gas and home renovation expenses. The prizes listed are: a hunting condo, a 65 quart Yeti cooler, a Savage 22LR rifle with ammo, a Blackstone outdoor griddle, a 24 quart Yeti cooler and a KastKing fishing rod with tackle and tackle-box. Tickets are $20 each and are available at Suwannee Hardware & Feed, located at 10572 Bridge Street in White Springs. The drawing will be held on Saturday, Dec. 12, at 2 p.m., during the monthly swap meet at Suwannee Hardware & Feed. Those who participate in the drawing do not need to be present to win.
The event is being sponsored by Suwannee Hardware & Feed, Best Metal Buildings, Rooster Outfitters and Phillip and Courtney Brewer. For more information on how to participate in the drawing or how to help the family during this rough time, please visit the Facebook page, Prayers For Tyler Ogburn.
