Buccaneers head to Regional Championship after 4-3 win over Warriors

Christian Peterson  reporter.riverbendnews@gmail.com  On Thursday, May 9, the Branford High School Buccaneers hosted the Aucilla Christian Warriors in the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 1A Softball Regional Semifinals. The match was one of the most intense softball games that Branford had ever witnessed. For the first four innings, the Buccaneers and the Warriors were evenly matched, with neither team able to bring a runner across the home plate. In the fifth inning, the Warriors scored the first run, followed by another in the sixth inning. The Buccaneers responded with two runs of their own in the bottom of the sixth inning.
