Trojans put up strong fight against Cowgirls in softball District semifinals

Christian Peterson reporter.riverbendnews@gmail.com On Tuesday, April 30, the Hamilton County High School softball team traveled to Madison County High School to face off against the Cowgirls. After their dominating 18-1 win over Wakulla Christian in the District quarterfinals, the girls found themselves in a great position as they faced down the Cowgirls for the District semifinals. Once the game began, it was clear that these teams were as evenly matched as possible. The first inning showed no movement on the scoreboard until the Cowgirls scored one run in the second inning, then another two runs in the third inning. The Trojans responded in the fourth inning with two runs of their own.
