Hamilton County High School has a Debate team once again

Michelana Byrd Contributor The 2023-24 school year saw incredible interest in Gov. Ron DeSantis's Florida Civics and Debate Initiative (FCDI) with over 200 competitors in each meet. Hamilton County High School's very own Debate team worked almost every afternoon throughout the school year preparing and competing against students from schools across Florida. The talented group of middle schoolers participated in the Incubate Debate at North Florida College in Madison, Fla., on Saturday, April 13, then continued all the way to the State Competition on Saturday, April 20, in Orlando.
