Area bikers to help fellow Veteran

Rick Patrick reporter3.riverbendnews@gmail.com In an effort to help improve the quality of life for a fellow Veteran, the Third District of the American Legion Riders is holding its Second Annual Bike Giveaway to a Veteran. The motorcycle, a 2006 Yamaha V-Star 1100, was donated by Wheels 4 Warriors, an organization in Lincoln, Neb., that provides motorcycles to veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces. The Third District of the American Legion Riders, which includes Baker, Columbia, Dixie, Hamilton, Jefferson, Lafayette, Madison, Suwannee and Taylor Counties, is raising funds to provide training, insurance, fuel and safety equipment to go along with the motorcycle.
