The Suwannee County Economic Development Office hosted a special groundbreaking ceremony for Wave Armor on Tuesday, April 30. Formerly known as Project Wave, Wave Armor is a venture by Rhino, Inc., a Minnesota-based company, that aims to bolster its manufacturing capacity for its line of floating docks and water activity accessories. The ceremony, held at the Suwannee County Catalyst Site near the Interstate 10 and U.S. Highway 90 interchange, witnessed the commencement of construction on a sprawling 213,543-square-foot facility. Wave Armor's decision to invest approximately $20 million in Suwannee County will initially create 50 new jobs.
