Lafayette commissioners approve new public works director

On Tuesday, April 23, the Lafayette County Board of County Commissioners met for its regularly scheduled meeting. The meeting began with updates from the different department heads before the board moved to open the bids it received for cemetery mowing. There were five groups of cemeteries out to bid and five different responses from mowers. The board chose the cheapest option for all groups. Group one went to Robbie Kirby at $950, the second to Groundtech Landscaping at $825, the third to Brian Pittman at $950, the fourth to Groundtech at $650 and the final to Pittman at $885.
